3rd AUGUST 09

Time:                     10.30 am - 4.00 pm

Tutor:                    Fiona Morris

The way a knitted item is finished is very important for the overall look of the item; beautiful knitting can be spoilt by poor finishing.  During the day we will look at the most appropriate ways to cast on and off for different uses; shape shoulders for a smooth finish; pick up stitches around a neckline; sew seams for a neat finish.

Before the workshop you will need to complete some pieces of knitting, details of which will be given when signing up for the workshop.

You will also need:

  • Knitting needles in a range of sizes
  • Blunt needle suitable for sewing up knitting
  • Scissors
  • Yarn to knit with
