Now have in stock fantastic Taiyo and Furin yarns.
Jane Ellison has produced what I think is the most fantastic Noro Kids book for ages 1 - 10 years. Mission for 2010 to knit every garment in it - just finished first one - not bad going as book only came into shop on Thursday!
Jane has also published a really great Men’s Noro book.
Will be putting on line soon a list of substitute Noro yarns as some of the yarns featured in new books are not available in UK but will knit up to other Noro yarn tensions.
Sorry, but the shop will be closing at 3pm today so that we can get set up for the weekend!
Just to let everyone know the shop will be open on Saturday from 10am - 5pm and Sunday 10am - 4pm so you can get an extra yarn fix! Not enough room to take everything to the Maltings but shop is now bursting at the seams.
Have now received deliveries of the new Debbi Bliss Baby Eco yarns and books together with her new Amalfi yarn and books.
Lots of new Louisa Harding including her amazing Merletto yarn - the colours and texture are out of this world. New Bijoux and Belle pattern books also in stock.
Had a delivery today of some really exciting books together with lots of KnitPro Symfonie wood needles/hooks/accessories. Am now also stocking the Nova metal range.
Have had new stock of Pompon multie including some of the new colours and also have a limited stock of Grundl pompom yarn that is all sparkly!
So much still to do but just know it’s going to be a fantastic weekend with the bonus being that I get to catch up with so many customers and suppliers that I don’t get to see much of.
Can’t believe only 2 days to go!
Lots of big boxes arriving in shop - sooooo excting.
The online knitting TV channel Knit1.tv is now live and there are two videos featuring the Interknit Cafe. You need to subscribe to see full videos but can see previews for free.
Following the success of Unravel earlier this year we will be extending next year’s event to take place over two days, Saturday 27 February and Sunday 28 February 2010.
Unravel 2010 will be bigger than ever and therefore enabling a wider variety of stands and giving everyone a chance to see, hear, share and wonder at all things woollen. Activities will include a marketplace, talks, demonstrations, workshops and a knitting surgery.
Tickets are £6.00 in advance for the 2 days or £8.00 on the door.
I have tickets available in the shop which I think would make great stocking fillers!
You can also purchase them directly from Farnham Maltings
We will be publishing further details about the festival and the workshops shortly.
For more information either contact the shop or Farnham Maltings.

From now until Christmas for every order of Zauberball yarn you will receive a free gauntlett pattern. One 100g ball will knit 2 short pairs or 1 long pair.
One copy per order
I have knit a really cute skirt for Little Miss Molly. She looks so adorable in it.
The pattern is Caiden’s Skirt by Yumiko Sakurai and is available free from Ravelry, or from here.
I knit this skirt for Molly using Louisa Harding’s Ca’d'oro, which is excellent news for you as it’s currently in the sale, £3.90, reduced from £4.95! (you’ll have to be quick though as once it’s gone, it’s gone). I used just under 3 balls of shade 7 for the main colour and less than a ball of shade 5 for the contrast colour on the bottom of the skirt and the crochet tie.
The pattern is written for 4mm and 5mm straight needles but I knit it on circulars so I didn’t have to seam it. I used 4mm and 5mm KnitPro Symfonie Interchangables.
It’s a really quick and easy knit. The pattern is written for a 12 month old but could easily be made larger or smaller by adding or omitting some of the 18 stitch panels.
